(no subject)

I'm somewhat annoyed. A friend of mine asked if I knew anyone who would be able to translate a letter from russian to dutch. I said I did know someone, but that I wasn't sure if he had the time to do it. I asked him, he said he would do it, I told my friend and got the letter to mail it. The guy did the translation, which I mailed back to my friend. And then I receive a mail "thanks, but it wasn't necessary anymore, we found someone else". I think that's pretty thoughtless. This guy puts time in something for someone he doesn't even know, and then his works appears to be unnecessary. She could have sent me a message, a mail, anything so I could let this guy know they asked someone else. But no, they tell me this when I give them the translation. I'll think twice next time they ask for something.
